Hasilnya agak memberangsangkan. Terima kasih Fauzi

Saya sih belum berani nyoba nanam tanaman yang kemungkinan tewasnya tinggi, he, he.

*Cough* Hopefully your drool hasn´t dropped onto your keyboard... ;D Yes, growing Heliamphora in the tropics will demand an enormous technical effort I assume - unless you are living somewhere in the mountains - at least 1500 metres above sea level. Many species seem to tolerate daily peaks of 28°C and night lows down to only just below 20°C - however only for a limited period I suppose. For example in our summers which last only for three months - and then 80% of our summer days are rainy anyway! Although experiments of some growers seem to prove if you are able to grow Heliamphora for most days not hotter than 26°C and nights not warmer than 18°C it works even long term. Good luck! Andreas

with that kind of temperature requirement, I'll need aaaaall the luck to grow them here. or maybe just a fridge ;D

Somehow it becomes more a matter of luck in warmer temperatures. Of course there are robust hybrids and also warm tolerant species. And if grown in a good ventilated place - OUTSIDE at a bright place for example - it can work surprisingly well. Growing Heliamphora in the tropics is a field where not many experiences are made I guess.
I assume you have to deal with day temperatures of more than 30°C and night temperatures somewhere around 25°C? I dare to say the majority of species won´t survive under these conditions. Heliamphora chimantensis seems to be a species which can cope with very warm conditions but the question still is: for how long?
Which hybrids or species of Heliamphora do you grow in Indonesia?
Regards,
Andreas

My Heliamphoras are (still) in two small terraria of 60 x 40 x 40 cm (length x width x height) and under grow lights (fluorescent tubes of 36 Watt respectively 54 Watt T5 tubes). They should have a larger terrarium soon.
Humidity is 75 - 85 % at daytime; around 90% in the night. Temperatures are (currently) 18 - 22°C at daytime and 8 - 15°C in the night.
Perfect for them! ;D
Cheers,
Andreas
