red colour = more sunlight, but some says that after producing those pretty colours the pitchers tend to be smaller.... i dont know how much truth in that... perhaps Cindy could give us some light in this matter.... those are some uber cephs u have there Cindy....

more sunlight = more red (true)
I have my plants under T5 lights so they do colour up. The reddest are the ones I have about 2" away from the tubes. But personally, I like the ones with the red teeth and green pitcher. It makes the teeth stand out.
What I tried was to allow a pitcher to become as big as it could with low light, then raise the plant to receive more light. The pitcher took a very long time to turn red. But then again, it could be because T5s can never replace sunlight. Once the weather becomes brighter, I'll be leaving them out to receive direct sunlight. I read too that pitchers formed in bright light is smaller but I have not noticed that in my plants. They are not producing mature pitchers on the entire plant yet...sometimes immature pitchers, sometimes mature pitchers. So I can't vary the light intensity to find out if less light produces larger pitchers.
This species is not as difficult to grow as most of us think it is. Once established, it will just grow and grow. Having said that, I paid quite a bit of money in lessons to learn how they can be acclimatised. And in the process, sent many of them to CP heaven. Hehe.

i killed 2 already... one is caused by the mildew and the other one im not sure the plant size just kept on shrinking. i hope ill have mature pitchers in 4 - 6 months time... if this batch survived its first year ill probably have some more... be prepared Cindy ehehehehhe
